Code of Conduct - Reporting Guidelines

If you believe someone is violating the Code of Conduct, we ask that you report it to the Bleu.js Code of Conduct Committee by emailing [email protected]. All reports will be kept confidential.
For immediate emergency situations, please contact local law enforcement. For physical security concerns at an event, please contact the event staff or venue security immediately.
What to Include in a Report
Please include the following information in your report (if known):
- Your contact information (so we can get in touch with you)
- Names or descriptions of those involved in the incident
- When and where the incident occurred (please be as specific as possible)
- Your account of what occurred
- Any additional context or information you believe is relevant
- If the incident is ongoing
- Any other individuals who witnessed or were involved in the incident
- Any relevant screenshots, links, or other documentation
- If you have suggestions on how to address the issue
Confidentiality
All reports will be handled with discretion and confidentiality. The identity of the reporter will not be disclosed without the reporter's explicit permission.
We respect the privacy of all parties involved, while ensuring that we can properly investigate and address the reported issues. However, in certain cases, we may need to share some information to conduct a thorough investigation or to comply with legal requirements.
Report Handling Process
- Receipt of Report: We will acknowledge receipt of your report within 24 hours.
- Initial Assessment: The Code of Conduct Committee will review the report to determine immediate next steps.
- Investigation: We will gather information from all relevant parties, including witnesses if applicable.
- Decision: Based on our findings, we will decide on appropriate consequences or actions.
- Communication: We will inform the reporter about our decision and actions taken.
- Follow-up: We will ensure that any required actions are implemented and will follow up as needed.
Anonymous Reporting
We understand that in some cases, individuals may wish to report incidents anonymously. While we accept anonymous reports, please note that it may limit our ability to investigate or follow up. If you wish to remain anonymous but still allow some form of follow-up, consider using a temporary email address or a trusted third party to submit the report.
Code of Conduct Committee
The Code of Conduct Committee consists of the following individuals:

In cases where a committee member is involved in a report or has a conflict of interest, they will recuse themselves from handling that specific report.
Appeals Process
If you believe a report was not handled fairly or if you wish to appeal a decision made by the Code of Conduct Committee, you may submit an appeal to [email protected]. Appeals will be reviewed by a different set of committee members than those who handled the original report.
